Is it safe to exercise during pregnancy?
Yes! In fact, staying active and exercising during pregnancy is highly recommended, as long as you have received clearance to exercise from your midwife and you don't over do it. Know your limits!
What is involved in the classes?
Classes involve gentle, supported movements and stretches in the water, with a focus on spinal alignment, pelvic floor toning and breath control. Each class ends with time to relax to nurture both body and mind during pregnancy.
How long are classes?
Classes are 50 minutes long.
Will I get my hair wet?
That’s up to you! Adaptations of exercises and ways to relax will always be given so you are always in control.
At what stage in pregnancy are classes suitable for?
Classes are suitable from 12 weeks pregnant, right up to (and passed!) your due date.
I'm not a confident swimmer, will this class be suitable for me?
All levels of swimming confidence are welcome!However if you are nervous about being in the water please contact me to chat.
How much are classes?
Classes are booked in blocks (usually 5 classes) at £14 per class
Is there parking available?
Car parking is available at both locations
Can my partner join/watch?
Unfortunately no - classes are delivered within a private environment for mums-to-be only, in order for all participants to completely relax and have a good chat.
Is there a waiting list?
Yes, at times there is a waiting list to join classes, which is why it is best to contact early so you don't miss out!
